FAQs

Do you accept walk-ins?

You must have a referral from a physician in order to be seen at NuChoice. Once we have the referral, we accept walk-ins for only our x-ray services.

For our other imaging services, please schedule an appointment with our scheduler after we receive your referral.

Do you accept insurance?

We proudly accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Cigna insurance. We are also a Medicare-certified facility.

Can I come in just for a consultation?

You are welcome to come by and tour our facility and visit with our technologists if you need further explanation on your upcoming examination.

What is the average wait time?

We don’t double-schedule a time slot! We know you are busy and appreciate your time so we get you in with the most wait time of 15 mins in most cases.

What should I bring to my appointment?

A photo ID and your preferred form of payment as well as your current insurance card.

What makes your facility superior to other options in the area?

We know there are options out there, so we stand out in the crowd by providing compassionate patient care and quality diagnostic examinations.  No long wait lines! No surprise fees and the radiologist fee is included with the upfront pricing! The ordering physicians will have the report with a quick turnaround time. Each person that enters our facility is met by friendly and efficient staff members ready to provide YOU with exemplary patient care.

Is there paperwork I need to fill out before my appointment?

We will give you all the necessary forms before your appointment time. Our condensed forms are user-friendly and short to the point with your safety in mind.

Do I have to make a follow up appointment with my doctor or NuChoice

There is no need to return to NuChoice once you have completed the imaging request from your physician. Your ordering physician will follow up with you to go over your findings. Should further imaging be required, we look forward to seeing you for the additional imaging your physician deems necessary.

Can you interpret the results from my imaging?

The imaging completed at NuChoice Imaging Center must be interpreted by our radiologist.   We have experienced and superb technologists, however, they are not doctors of radiology, only radiologists are qualified and educated to interpret imaging.

Who will be interpreting my results?

Our top-notch radiologist! NuChoice Imaging Center has board-certified radiologists from Blue Star Imaging, the same radiologist who read all imaging for the Dallas Cowboys.
